Don’t move here. You can hear your neighbors breathe that’s how thin the walls are. Security is never around and you’ll pay for a parking spot just to have someone else park there every day and the leasing office does nothing about it. I spoke to them multiple times and they had a “well what do you want us to do about it” attitude. And on top of all that the blaring fire alarm goes off all hours of the day and night about every other day. It’s not worth the money you pay to live here

I feel completely scammed by this apartment complex. The only reason I moved here was because they offered a few concessions, including waiving the $350 amenity fee for the first year. I even turned down another apartment I was ready to move into because of these concessions. However, they’ve failed to honor their promise and still charged me the fee. I’ve been trying to resolve this issue for over three months now, contacting multiple people who all tell me what I want to hear, but nothing gets done. It’s clear they have no intention of keeping their word.

The management here is practically nonexistent. They’re rarely on-site, and when you try to contact them, you get no response. Security is a joke—people are constantly entering the building who don’t live here, including a homeless man who was recently found sleeping in the lobby. There have been people walking around at night, claiming to be with PSEG and trying to get into apartments to “check for dirty power” at 8 PM. It's shady and unsettling.

On top of all that, the gate is always broken, and there have been multiple break-ins. I really regret not moving into the other apartment I was considering. This place has been nothing but frustration and disappointment. Avoid this place if you value your time, money, and security.

As of March 22, 2024, The Avion has made remarkable progress, elevating its rating from 1 star to an impressive 4 stars. The implementation of 24-hour security measures and upgraded gate systems demonstrates a proactive response to tenant concerns, reflecting management's commitment to safety. I extend appreciation to the management team for their responsiveness and dedication to enhancing community well-being. Positive highlights include effective problem-solving by John Jr., consistent cleanliness maintained by the cleaning crew, and expedited issue resolution with the presence of a live-in superintendent. Furthermore, the introduction of a 24/7 concierge service enhances hospitality and security. There are still areas needing improvement, such as addressing concerns about unauthorized entry and tenant-related issues like noise disturbances and messy common areas. I am optimistic that the management will continue their outstanding efforts in fostering a sense of community within this splendid building.

Review made in September 2023: Unfortunately, it has come to a point where I am compelled to leave a review regarding my experience in the building. While the building itself is aesthetically beautiful and kept clean, there have been several experiences since I moved in December 2022 that prompt me to question the "Luxury" standards promised during the leasing process.

Prior to becoming a tenant, I was informed that there would be a live-in superintendent available. Although this was initially the case, the superintendent eventually left due to uncommunicated reasons. Notably, none of the tenants were informed by management about this change, which has left us feeling disconnected and uninformed.
The location of the building seemed excellent due to its proximity to the airport, major highways, and various attractions. I also appreciate the presence of a professional management team, including individuals like Sandra and Nancy (who recently left), who appeared to make efforts to go above and beyond for the residents. However, their efforts seem to be overshadowed and hindered by what appears to be negligence or lack of urgency from individuals associated with the building company. This lack of responsiveness to tenant needs creates a disconnect between the promised "community" atmosphere and the reality experienced by residents.

For instance, I have been patiently waiting for my tub to be repaired since December 2022. Every time I take a shower, paint chips off the tub's surface, revealing that it was simply painted over. It is clear that the issue was not properly addressed before I moved in. Despite reaching out multiple times to report the issue, I have not seen any resolution. This prolonged delay in addressing maintenance requests is unacceptable and is not aligned with the expected level of service in a luxury building.

Recently, there has been deep concern about the current safety situation in our apartment building from a majority of the tenants. While I love my apartment, I can no longer overlook the alarming security breaches that have been occurring recently.

It has come to our attention that individuals who do not reside in the building have been gaining unauthorized access, resulting in break-ins, car vandalism & thefts ( see photos of my boyfriend's car being broken into, with pictures of other tenants and their cars along with visiting families being broken into), and even doors being kicked in. These incidents have left us feeling extremely unsafe in our own homes. We believe immediate action is necessary to address this issue and ensure the security and well-being of all residents. When tenants have come to the office management to express details time stamps of incidents, I have witnessed a withholding of information or denial of unsafe incidents.

In light of these events, we strongly urge JP Management to implement enhanced security measures.
