Sports Direct - Uxbridge

A splendid shop with very helpful and friendly staff. My favourite sports store. The company has numerous other branches strategically located around London and many other English Towns. So you will always be near a Sports Direct Store. The shop in Uxbridge is situated on first and second floors. With two escalators for entrance and exit. And another escalator for the second floor. The shop specialises in sports clothing and accessories for men, women and children. They have recently redecorated the fitting rooms and altered from two small rooms to one large room. So if you are XX Large and above ( like me) then you must try the new fitting room. I have most recently purchased a pair of jeans (Air Walk) which are a unique design that are quite difficult to find. Luckily although the shop have only a few pairs on their shelves. I was able to find the right size. The jeans were on offer for a sale price of 50% discount. The good thing with a lot of their items is that they are often very generously discounted at around 50%.
Since the Airwalk jeans 👖 I have also purchased; a (faux fur) puffer jacket, Salomon walking 👟 shoes, leg gaiters and knee support bandages. All at very generous discounted prices.

Second visit in the space 3 days.
Poor customer service on 2nd visit.
Got slightly better towards end but overall quite poor.

This place continues to provide poor service. Asked an assistant about a certain pair of trainers; "No, we don't have them" while hardly looking at me. "Can you look them up on the system?" "No, only the warehouse has them" came the terse reply. "Why's that" I asked. "No idea".

The only thing this place has in it's favour is that it's cheap.

Thing is, management won't look at this review, let alone acknowledge me or try and change things.

This is by far the worst Sports Direct store I've ever encountered. The staff clearly have no understanding of customers' statutory rights. Be warned! If you ever need to return an item, avoid this store at all costs. They seem to know only one phrase: 'It's company policy.' It appears that the store lacks any properly trained or knowledgeable management.

A massive store! Plenty of clothes and sport equipment.

In the 1970s this was a department store called Suters. There are still features dating back to then, such as the escalator.

Extremely rude, sarcastic and unhelpful staff. A simple question about my order that I am supposed to collect from the store and cannot track could not be answered by the team in the store.

Worst service ever.
I was waiting for someone to serve me but it felt like the guy was ignoring me completely.
I asked the bald guy for a shoe of my size, he did not even look at me and walked away.
Finaly I went to JD and got it expensive. It was worth considering the insult and bad service.

Why the lady at the till tried to charge me twice for a pair of shoesI had to challenge her twice, until this was resolved! Time of visit was 26 July 10:20am she didn’t even apologise for that, like it was my fault! Is there a section about manners in your training?
