Southern California Piano Academy have great teachers who also happens to be professional musicians. Teachers George and Sarah have great techniques and they are very patient with my three daughters during each of their own lesson time. The school offers monthly make up class and semi-annual recitals which is great for kids to build their confidence and to display their learned piano skills set. Definitely a good solid foundation for anyone that wants to learn to play the piano.

I've often felt insecure about taking piano lessons as an adult, but in the time I've been working with Sarah at SoCal Piano Academy my love for playing the piano has grown exponentially. I have been taking lessons from Laurie Robinson at the Southern California Piano Academy for almost a year now and I love it. I've always wanted to play the piano, but I had convinced myself that it would be too difficult for me to learn. So, when I went in for my first lesson with Laurie I expected her to tell me I had no aptitude for the instrument and should move on. She proved me wrong. With her skillful guidance and overwhelming support she showed me not only was I able to play the piano, but I was quite good at it. The months since then have been amazing. She's able to read my level of progress each week and work with me on improving my skills and pushing me further. On occasion, when Laurie is unavailable, I have had the pleasure to work with other instructors; Emmanuel Fratianni, Hasmik Avagyan, and Dan Martinez. They are all skilled musicians and instructors in their own right. I can't say enough good things about Laurie and the Academy. If you've ever dreamt of learning the piano then you need to check out the Southern California Piano Academy. The instructors are top notch and they truly care about their students. They give you the support you want and the push you need to succeed.

In the few months that I have been attending sessions at The SoCal Piano Academy, I have grown exponentially as an amateur pianist. When I first joined I hadn't the slightest understanding of the instrument. I could not sight-read, I was not familiar with any of the proper terminology, nor did I know the name of a single key, or chord. The SoCal Piano Academy was my second attempt at finding a piano academy that created an atmosphere rife with professionalism, but was also unassuming, and non-pretentious. After my first 30-minute session with Emmanuel I was certain I had found the right place. Like Emmanuel, the other SoCal Piano Academy instructors are first-class musicians, masters of their instruments, and are excellent teachers. They are patient, and kind, but not afraid to point out which aspects of their piano-playing their clients need to focus on. The latter of all aforementioned is what truly broadens the horizons of their students and allows for continued success. The teaching styles and expertise of these instructors also allows for much versatility. Whether you're interested in playing classical, jazz, the blues, or even pop music, you won't regret choosing The SoCal Piano Academy.

My son has been taking lessons here for several years and it's always been a very pleasant experience. The school is owned by a professional composer and conductor and his wife who is a pro pianist. They really know what they're doing and the other teaching staff has always been great as well. Highly recommended for all ages.
