I'm a resident at Parkland Square. I am expressing my concerns regarding a recent interaction I had when I inquired about details related to my lease and associated over charges and late fees. Friday December 6, 2024 at 3:35pm in the rental office at Parkland Square. I was disappointed by the behavior of one of your staff members, Mariana, that I recently found out works in the cooperate office Reistertown Road, Baltimore, Maryland.

I went to the office to get an explanation on the issue my daughter and I was having on our end on RentCafe Resident which was having an issue. There was an month to month charge, as well as a late fee an overage of $270.99. I tried to explain to her numerous times that I made several attempts calling the rental office November 5th and November 6, for clarity to no avail. Which cause me to go to the rental office. I also explained to her about the recent late fee in November, which I recently loss my mom on November 4, 2024, I forgot to pay the rent by November 5th, however It was paid November 6th and the late fee was paid November 25, 2024, in the amount of $83.00. Unfortunately, Mariana was unhelpful but also exhibited a rude and dismissive attitude towards me and my daughter. During our conversation, I felt that her response was dismissive, unprofessional, non-sympathetic, and condescending. I approached her with genuine questions, hoping for clarity and assistance, but her tone, facial expressions and demeanor made me feel belittled and not heard. I tried to explain to her it was not fault of mine that the RentCafe was not working properly, and I should not have to be given a credit. She was dismissive, and got up and walked away. Things became heated and words were exchanged and she called my late mom the (B) word, which was very insensitive and appalling. Effective communication is crucial in any professional setting, especially in property management, where tenants rely on timely and respectful exchanges to address their concerns. I believe that all residents deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, and I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously due to the demeanor of this women. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but as a resident, I expected a more professional interactions. A person that was in the rental office told me she has experienced the same rude behavior from this women in the past, and because she works in the cooperate office she is never disciplined.

As a tenant of Parkland Square for two years, and who has NEVER been late paying rent, not a nuisance to my neighbors. I have never encountered such disrespectful behavior from any staff in the leasing office. I believe it is essential for me to fully understand the terms of my lease and any charges that may apply. Mariana's behavior reflected horrible values of Signature Property MD and and should provide the level of service and professionalism. After writing a letter and requesting to speak to the Vice President of Signature Properties, I felt like the incident was played down, not taken serious, stating that's not like her, and she will get spoken to and maybe reprimanded. Unacceptable!!!!!! Definitely will NOT be renewing another year lease!!

I went to check the property at Dunhill Village North Apartments. I was referred and was going to apply. However, when I rode around the property and saw the disgusting trash I was IMMEDIATELY turned off. I was also greeted with some angry tenants who complained of it being an ongoing problem and MANAGEMENT refused to address the situation. No thank you Dunhill Village!!!

I have been attempting to call and email corporate regarding my ongoing issues since December at the start of my lease. I still have not heard back from the property management teams corporate office regarding any of my concerns. If the property is managed by this company do not rent an apartment. I’ve been having issues with mold, unsafe electrical outlets and little to none of my concerns have been met with even a phone call or returned email. It’s ghetto to say the least. Living conditions not even suitable for an animal to live.

Signature Rock Glen is the best! I have been living here for the past 7 years and this last year alone made me want to stay here longer. Every time I ask for maintenance service, somebody always responds and gets the job done quickly. Lakeiya from the office is so professional and very respectful and makes sure that I am satisfied with their services. She goes over and beyond what is expected of her and represents the company very well.

This is my third re-edited review on here because I want people to see the living conditions (most current and up to date) this company is making their tenants live in and their property manager Shaneeka Harley and director of property management Teresa Weyant have sat on their hands to solve. I live at the Elms of Laurel Parks. I want to voice a concern about the property management team regarding their lack of communication, organization, and overall profession

I have sent multiple mold and mildew concerns in the ground floor hallways following rain/weather events or event of a ceiling leak (condensation pipes that need insulation repair, drain line leaks, etc.) that they just let the ceiling tile SIT and get moldy. They also just let puddles of water to just sit on the carpeted floor and be left unattended for mold to grow ON THE CARPET. No one can go down the hallway because it is so overpowering and stuffy. See the pictures attached. Any direction someone can send me about reporting this company to OSHA or state/federal agencies please let me know. I’ll be contacting OSHA on behalf of their employees tomorrow (since Teresa doesn’t see the urgency and Ms. Harley would rather stay in her office than walk the grounds to make sure HER PROPERTY SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE MANAGING IS SAFE.

Where is my rent money going?!?! I sent email after email and no action is taken or “cosmetic” solutions were taken instead for deep routed issues that require abatement services.

This building still has ASBESTOS and LEAD PAINT. I would imagine this isn’t helping!!!!

They also didn’t put up wet floor signs when they mopped the METAL STAIRCASE and resulted in a fall down the staircase, a HUGE bruise on my butt, and a badly sprained wrist. For your health and safety stay away from this place. I made the biggest mistake renewing my lease right when they took over. If it was going to be like this I would have never and now I’m stuck

I have been living on Signature property (Chinquapin location) since July, 2018. I have nothing negative to say about Signature. Since living here, the person I interact the most with is Billy the maintenance man. Billy is very polite, skilled and reliable, but most of all professional at all times when is has serviced my apartment. He is creative, problem solving, and efficient, and he always fixed the problem no matter what. Billy had to do preventative and corrective repairs to my apartment and did an awesome job. He was the consummate professional, always on time, always doing a great job, and I would recommend him very highly to complete any task that need attention.

I reside in one of their apartment complexes, The Centre at Silver Spring, and I have been dealing with rowdy, obnoxious neighbors who blast their music, throw things in their apartment, and stomp like they're attempting to fall through for MONTHS. I have complained about my neighbors about thirty times via email, in-person, on the phone, etc., and still this is an ongoing issue that is affecting my peace, sleep, and right to quiet enjoyment. Not only has the leasing office been minimally responsive, but I have NEVER received a response from Signature Properties, even though they have been copied on EVERY correspondence about this matter, even the ones when I mentioned that I have a two-year-old daughter, and their noise from above scares her. The only time I have gotten a response from Signature Properties was back in December when I asked for a discount in my rent because of a mouse infestation, which could have easily been resolved if they had sent pest control to my apartment the first time I asked. This is a despicable business, and I honestly hate living in one of their complexes. They don't care about their residents AT ALL. They are the worst, and I am disgusted and now forced to end my lease early because they refuse to intervene and respond to my complaints about the upstairs neighbors. They are a TERRIBLE business, and I wish I could give zero stars!!!
