Packages got stolen, roommate's bike got stolen in the bike room. Also, please look carefully in the contract and ensure that before move-in, you document everything and send a condition report to ensure you won't get absurdly overcharged for "repairs" and "labor." Small dinks in the wall and you will be charged for "partial paint" which costs you $50 per room and the kitchen. Despite sweeping and cleaning every nook, including the cabinets, fridge, oven, and closets, we were charged $170. All of this is taken out of your security deposit at the end of lthe lease.

Also there's no elevators.

This place is horrible. If you aren't familiar with downtown Portland and goose hallow specifically, do your due diligence and scope out the area before moving here. I was new to downtown and blissfully unaware of the severe homeless population and the shelter or two just across the 405. I suppose I should have looked around the area first since the homeless population lined up outside the shelter and tents along the 405 corridor would have been a clear indication of what I was about to get myself into. I was here a week and my car was broken into. My $1k bike was stolen from the bike room. I thought it would be safe since it was gated, I was wrong. The rent is ridiculous for what we have to deal with. Constant harassment from the homeless begging and pleading for money and if you say no, sometimes they get aggressive and want to fight. There are so many needles that I've had to walk over when I either take my daughter to school or walk to my work. It's disgusting and certainly not safe and in the last year I've been here, it's gotten progressively worse! The building looks nice from the outside and from the first few minutes of a walkthru. Just wait till you sign a year long lease, it's upscale looking facade quickly fades when you realize how cheaply made the building is. I am eager to move and I know a lot of my neighbors are breaking their leases to get out asap. For a 2 bedroom approx 900sf I pay $1,834 a month and don't even have parking. Beware of moving here!
