This was the best place I had lived in while in NYC. The location was accessible to get almost anywhere in the city, and the building itself had a rooftop, gym, and pool.

What made this building stand out from the rest was the people that worked in it, however. From the porters, to the doormen, to even the property manager. All that worked here became friends. They all looked out for you.

When it came to leasing, Alex Lomis (now the well-deserved Property Manager!) made sure you got the best, with transparency, and ensured that he did all that he could to make it happen. The doormen did more than just greet, they looked out for you, Tim & Wolf would always know whats coming your way and it made such an increase to security.

Pete and Ricardo are always one reach out away to make sure anything you need fixing would be done asap -- and bring good company. Even the Building Supervisor is around and always game for a good chat!

There's so many more people in this building that makes it an amazing place to live, and I hope anyone considering this building gets a chance to encounter them all, as people in this building tend to become family.

Management offering tons of incentives cuz tenants are moving out left and right. Poorly run building and the leasing office is not at all transparent - (tried telling me I would have to pay a fee with a broker and lose out on the incentives they are offering)

The super will not be available during emergencies (especially if it’s on a weekend) even if you find a way to reach him, leaving you to deal with the emergency yourself. I found that to be a huge safety issue. General lack of communication from super as well about ongoing repairs/maintenance. Hard to trust what is being communicated when problems arise.

Celia could you fix the bikes please. It’s been over a month. Heck I’ll do it for you. Just respond to one of the residents. Say something or ask someone for help, come on 🙃

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, we arrived at the leasing office, and was welcomed warmly by the nice folks there.
After describing our needs (apt size, dates, budget and preferences etc), we were quickly told that 6 units were available for us to view. People in leasing office are nice and efficient. Maja took us around and showed all the units. She is very professional and patient to all our questions. She cares about the customers’ needs and let us feel great. Great job, Brooklyn Gold. Now we have lived in the building, and enjoy everything it offer.

I’m still a resident here. The management here is a disaster. 1) there is no transparency in communication. They’ll dump everything into the lease, without calling attention to the important section. They will NOT send you any instruction for paying bills or electricity. When you ask, they’ll blame you for not reading every word in a 70 page lease you signed. 2) the works they hired are not professionals and violated my privacy. They entered my property without knocking on the door - just climbed over!!! Shocking!!! And terrifying!!! 3) Lastly, it’s a noisy building to live in, even though I’m above 10th floor. Don’t live here.

I lived here for two years, while the apartment itself was centrally located and doormen were nice, Lazerian property management was such a nightmare to deal with. First of all during the pandemic, the gym and pool were closed for 6+ months yet no adjustments were made to the rent. Even when the building gym opened back up the hours were 8-3PM so literally no one who was working could even go to the gym. Secondly, when my roommate had to move back to Austrailia for the last 2 months of the lease and I explained this to the building and offered to pay a lease termination fee to end my lease two months early (DURING A PANDEMIC, mind you), no exceptions were made and I was forced to pay the rent myself for the remaining two months, which is fine because you know what I signed a lease saying I would. Lastly, my security deposit was sent back to me >1 month after I moved out, WITH MY NAME SPELLED INCORRECTLY! When I reached out to the building, they told me I would have to mail this check back or pay a fee and offered me no apology for their mistake. So here I am 3 months out from my move, still with no security deposit returned to me. Highly unprofessional people and terrible experience dealing with the management here. I would advise against living here, there a ton of great buildings in the area so stay away!

Doorman are great especially Wolfgang and Tim. Appliances may be a little dated but management is quick to resolve issues around the apartment
