A hidden gem in the heart of Brooklyn Heights! As an alumnus I can honestly say that A. Fantis was an incredible experience. In fact, 40 years later my Fantis classmates are still my closest friends. The only better experience is watching my daughter thrive at A. Fantis. It has a wonderfully diverse student body, top notch teachers and administrators who truly care about each child, winner of the National Blue Ribbon award for academic excellence and a wide variety of after school activities but what truly sets it apart is the sense of family and community! Walking through the doors of A. Fantis just feels like home!

Having both of our children, 4 and 12 years of age, attend A. Fantis has turned out to be the best decision we have ever made as parents. I really had no idea that it was possible to find teachers and office staff who care so much about every single student in the school. They listen and respond to the needs of parents as well as the students. It's icing on the cake that the personalities of the teachers are genuinely warm, friendly, caring and of high moral values. The cross cultural and socio economic appeal the school provides has attracted families from different boroughs as well as internationally, including Europe. And let's not forget the highest level of academics, acknowledged with the National Blue Ribbon award.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about A. Fantis! This school wasn’t initially on our radar during our search, but we decided to take a tour—and I’m so glad we did. After the visit, A. I have my two boys in this amazing school. One in PK4 and one in 7th grade. The school is a tight knit community of families from all over the world. The kids create a strong bond with their classmates, their teachers and all the school administration. There is a lot of individualized attention and a strong academic rigor. The PTO is very dynamic and therefore there are many opportunities for families to be engaged in the school life, with many functions and events throughout the year. There are a lot of choices in New York City and Brooklyn, and we could not be happier with ours. If you are looking for a smaller school, that cares and fosters values of respect, hard work, curiosity and sense of community, this is a great choice for you .
