I live in an HRM property and absolutely love being here. I can’t imagine living any where else. I have made some great friends who also live here and love spending time with them just sitting out among the beautiful gardens and visiting. Kathy, the manager, is the very best! Her office is always open to residents for any big or small concern or to just stop by and say hi. This is much more than an apartment complex, it’s HOME.

Terrible ownership, no communication from the general manager. They are only interested in their money not the people who rent from them.
My mother has been a resident for over 15 years. When she was in declining health I notified the building manager that we would be going to a month to month lease after mom's yearly lease was up. Mom passed away with just 2 days left on her year lease and the manager Kathy insisted that we still owed them for 60 days rent because we had to give 60 days notice. How are we supposed to predict when my mom was going to die? How can we give 60 days when you can't predict how fast someones health will decline. Completely heartless is what I would call the owners and their general manager.

I cannot say enough positive things gs about the community of Cottage Villas, I have lived here for 11 years and find the people here to be loving and supportive whether they are donating coats and blankets to the homeless or baking treats of love and support for our first responders in their time of grief These are just a couple of our ongoing projects to help those around us

I cannot even express how upset i am with this management company, I have been a tenant with this company for 5 years, I am on a month to month lease which I pay an extra 100 dollars a month for making my rent over 1,000 for a 1 bed 1 bath apartment. In my 5 years living at Mccaarons village apartments I have never paid late, I have had no major complaints always been a very good tenant. I have now bought a house so I gave my 60 day notice at the beginning of february, since it was not on the 1st of the month that I gave my notice they said they can’t accept the notice until march 1st, meaning that there going to make me pay for the whole month of April( I moved out march 14th). I contacted legal advice and was told what this company is doing is not right, I should not have to give a 60 day notice on a month to month lease because technically my lease is only 30 days long... when contacting the company they wouldn’t even work with me in any way so ZERO loyalty or respect in tenure to good tenants, in my eyes your tricking your tenants by word play. I would not recommend living in ANY of there properties, and i’m disappointed that I wasted my money living here all these years.
