My husband and I have been living in properties managed by At Home Apartments for almost eight years now, and we couldn’t be more satisfied. Each property we've lived in has been well-maintained, with communication and responsiveness always being timely and helpful.

The management team is second to none, making themselves readily available for any questions or concerns. The process of finding an apartment, signing a lease, and moving in has always been smooth and stress-free. At Home prioritizes our safety, and any issues are addressed swiftly and with the attention they deserve.

The properties are consistently well-maintained. Major improvements, such as window-washing, A/C filter cleaning and replacement, and fresh paint in communal areas, are handled promptly and with care. My husband and I have been living at The Chase at Nine Mile Creek for over three years now, and we have no plans to move. We love the modern look and feel of our space, the thoughtful floorplan, our spacious kitchen, balcony, and the many trails that are within walking distance—perfect for our love of hiking.

Before living at The Chase, we stayed at Parkway West near Minnehaha Falls and a property in Highland Park, both of which we loved. When we decided to move to a more secluded area closer to nature, The Chase was the perfect choice. We feel safe, love being surrounded by nature, and appreciate our kind, quiet, and respectful neighbors. The little touches, like offering root beer floats during a power outage as a thank you while waiting for power to be restored, elevate At Home above other property management companies.

Special mention goes to Kurt, the maintenance person at our complex. He’s worked on our apartment a few times now, and each time, he’s been courteous, professional, friendly, and highly skilled in his work. He always takes the time to answer any questions we have, and when we see him in the hallways, he never hesitates to stop and say hello. We’re fortunate to have someone like Kurt taking care of our building.

Overall, we couldn’t be more grateful for At Home Apartments. As cheesy as it may sound, every time we walk in the door of our apartment, we truly do feel like we are at home.

Spend the money and go somewhere nice and SECURE. Little to no maintenance on the buildings, absolutely ZERO security, the doors are often broken, homeless people get into the buildings drunk/high and leave paraphernalia around, buildings smell like weed and garbage, the buildings that do get security cameras are conveniently never working, frequent break-ins to cars, people getting knifed or guns pointed at them in the building parking lot, packages and mail often gets stolen, the interior is from 1972 and MOLDY. Corporate does nothing to remedy any of the safety issues.

My partner and I were in the market for an apartment in Saint Paul - We toured a few units owned by At Home Apartments. The units were beautiful, don’t get me wrong there, they looked well kept, and the area was beautiful. We probably would have applied had it not been for the mountain of fees. The fee that really turned us off - was the $200 fee required on top of your security deposit and first month’s rent JUST to sign your lease. I have lived in a few rental properties before, and I have never seen something like this. We even asked when we signed the lease at the apartment we found - and they had never heard of anything like this, and also thought it was ridiculous. I’d steer clear, because they’re clearly money hungry and who knows what’s in store after you sign the lease.

Frequent break-ins/theft, once I came across a homeless person sleeping in the stairwell and another time in front lobby. E-Bike stolen from garage and I've heard of break ins to storage units.

Also, unfair security deposit charges. They charged me $45 for cracked/peeling paint on windowsills. How could that be my fault? Am I responsible for maintaining/painting their property as it ages?

I live at Frenbrook Townhomes I have loved living here , everyone has been super amazing they are super helpful no problems but recently I have changed my mind about Frenbrook

1st. There are some kids going around throwing rocks at residents cars, garage doors, the streets then they escalated to throwing glass all over the streets I sent pictures to the office never got a response back

2nd. They leave bikes , scooters all over the street they don’t move when cars are coming

3rd. My nephew was outside walking a dog chased him and bite him , I thought all dogs had to be on a leash when outside or their owner outside with them?

I’m 100% sure no one will get back to me just like last time I have younger children at home they could get seriously hurt we don’t feel safe anymore

I've lived at Summit Terrace Flats for 5 years and am in the process of moving now.

Over the years, I had a good experience with At Home Apartments. Maintenance have always been attentive and professional, great guys. The company itself were understanding in the time or 2 when I accidentally paid rent late and have a grace period to waive any late charges that can be exercised once per 12 months (or calendar year, something like that) that I appreciated.
I don't feel they needlessly nickel and dime you to death. Covid did freeze any potential rent increase for a year or 2, but even when they have increased it, it has been modest and reasonable.

The building has always been calm and quiet, atleast in my experience living on the 2nd floor in the entry area. There can be some noise from people going in and out but its nothing bad at all and you get used to it quickly. Mostly it was due to the door sometimes slamming (this wouldnt be an issue for apartments in the interior of the building. I mention later in this review regarding the door, and the new door is much quieter and better than before, it doesn't slam shut like the old one. Neighbors are seldom heard and its really just a nice place to live in my experience. Large single bedroom apartment with a ton of windows and natural light is very peaceful for being in the city let alone off a main street but outside of rush hour its honestly pretty quiet from Dale street itself.

Laundry fee is fair even if i didn't use it as much as I should have to get the moneys worth from it, honestly beats having to lug around quarters.

The only time of true frustration was dealing with package theft that was occurring at times, whether it was from another tenant or an unauthorized person gaining access to the building it could never be determined. I wasn't the only one with the issue either, and the response was less than stellar encouraging tenants to either send packages to the main office or opt for amazon/UPS lockers which is just not something anyone wants or should have to do. I do think this issue has not been on going (it was mostly like 2-3 years ago) though I stopped ordering items for the most part if I knew I wouldn't be able to get it immediately. People would post notices and others also did informing of packages going missing. I have not seen that in like 2 years so thats good.

A new, much more secure, better door was also added recently which was over due for the overall security of the building. I think At Home Apartments would have glady changed that sooner had they not been forced to jump through many hoops as the building is considered historical and something as simple as changing doors becomes more complex because of the preservation laws behind it. I do wish they would have installed some cameras in the front and rear entrances as well as the mailbox area, but that never happened.

I would recommend At Home Apartments to anyone based on my experience. I'm going to rate it as a strong 4 stars, It could be 5 but a lot of the minor issues were mostly just related to the buildings age and some aren't easy fixes but they seem to try to address things as best as they possibly can. Keep that in mind when considering renting a unit in an older building, they have their quirks. I will update if anything changes during my move out process but Its gone well thus far and the office and staff are all great. Don't hesitate to check out what they have to offer and see if it might suit your needs!

21 days ago I applied for an apt and not a word. The only updates I get are 'we are still working on it' (Summer Creek property). What a joke! Just lining their pockets with app fees. But after reading their reviews (which I should have done in the first place), this is a blessing in disguise. Beware

I can only speak to my experience at Summit Terrace Flats but I lived there for four years and it was fantastic. The maintenance was very timely and thorough (and nice!) and my apartment building was quiet. Great location, you can walk everywhere. It’s a historic building so you don’t have all of the amenities, but beautiful hardwood floors, built ins and original tiling. They recently replaced all the windows and made updates to the property where needed. The biggest thing they did in my opinion was include the laundry in the rent (12$ a month) so I could basically do laundry whenever I wanted. My only qualm was I fell victim to 3 or 4 episodes of package theft, unsure if it was someone in the building or outside. I know some of my neighbors experienced the same. Management didn’t really do much besides send an email about it.

Otherwise great place, I only moved because of work and I miss my home at 26 Dale!
